Wining and dining is an adventure in itself in this part of Oz. The wines are exquisite and not only will you find the usual emu and kangaroo meat but there is also a wide range of food to choose from Thai curries to Italian food. (Photo by Jordan Brock)

Put aside a day just for wine and food tasting and don’t forget to join ( or get yourself invited to ) a traditional Australian Barbie.

Rent A Houseboat

...and watch the sunset as the boat glides along Australia’s second longest river, Murray River.

Lazy Days By The Beach

South Australia offers some of the country’s most beautiful beaches and this is definitely one of the reasons why visitors visit this region.

Just laze by the beach or go surfing. Just a short ride away from Adelaide is the Fleureu Peninsula where beaches in all their different states can be found – from calm seas for swimming with kids, to surfing beaches, to nudist beaches.

Kangaroo Island

An eco protected island with gorgeous beaches and amazing wildlife. Hop over to Kangaroo Island and see animals that we’ve come to associate Australia with – koala bears, kangaroos, wallabies and more. It is also a place where the majority of the world’s sea lions reside.

You can take a ferry from the mainland (Cape Jervis) or a flight from Adelaide. Regional Express and Emu Airways have regularly scheduled flights to Kangaroo Island’s airport, Kingscote

Trek the flinders Range National park,

a 74,000 hectare park for the best of Australia’s flora and fauna. If you love bushwalking, this park is one you don’t want to miss.

Adelaide –

Calm, sophisticated and charming – this is what Adelaide is and has in fact been voted as one of the best places to live. It’s cosmopolitan atmosphere is enhanced by its wildlife environment.

Enjoy the pleasures of city life then travel just a few kilometers and you’ll already find yourself in Australia’s outback.

Opal Town

This one should be very interesting. Opal Town is in the Australian outback where most of the people live underground.

Located in Coober Pedy, a place that gets so hot in the summer, the underground is actually a cool respite from the Australian heat. And if you’re up for some real adventure, you can even stay in one of their underground hotels.
