As I mentioned in my article on Caribbean family destinations, there’s one place in the Bahamas that makes a great spot for family vacations: The Atlantis Paradise Resort.
In more ways than one, this is one place where everyone in the family is going to have a good time. But it doesn’t come cheap.
The Atlantis of course, is not the only family oriented resort in the Bahamas islands. Listed below are some of the best Bahamas all inclusive family resorts.
Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort
Sheraton’s Our Lucaya Resort offers a reasonably good all inclusive family package which includes accommodation, all food and drinks, and access to the kid’s activity center.
This resort is one of the more popular all inclusive resorts in the Bahamas; Camp Lucaya, is even being promoted by the tourist board as a great family program for your holidays.
This is an excellent place to stay, not to mention more affordable (Paradise island rates considering), than staying at the Atlantis Paradise Resort. And an even greater place to stay at if you don’t like the hubbub of activity and people in the Atlantis.
With Camp Lucaya which basically gives enough activities for your kids (especially toddlers), the swimming pools, the beach, the golf courses, and the spa service among others, you’re guaranteed a wonderful holiday in the Bahamas.
Small Hope Bay Lodge
In Andros Island
Now, if you really want to get away from it all. Away from the chaotic atmosphere of Paradise Island, there’s a small hotel tucked away in Andros Island which offers a good deal for Bahama all inclusive family vacations.
This is not the place for ostentatious water slides and screaming adults and kids nor for world-class casinos. This is family paradise in Bahamas. Expect a secluded hotel which gives you a window to what the “real Bahamas” is. Where days are spent snorkeling, sunbathing, diving or fishing.
I have to say, this isn’t for everybody. Family vacations here are made to be very laid-back, and you also need to have children who find joy in being with nature. Who can find fun in activities like nature trails or snorkeling.
And if this one prerequisite is met, then this holiday is surely going to be a memorable one. And oh! If you need a babysitter, the hotel does offer with its all inclusive package complimentary babysitting at certain times of the day.
Radisson Cable Beach & Golf Resort
The Radisson in Nassau offers a pretty impressive all inclusive resort package (considering that many all inclusive packages in other resorts include very limited packages).
You don’t just get free food and drinks and a hotel room, you are also entitled to the free use of the facilities that the resort has such as free golf, non-motorized sports, and the children’s club.
There’s a waterpark in the resort and any family on a vacation in the Bahamas will always find this a very entertaining facility that will undoubtedly keep the children busy. Add to this one of the most beautiful beaches a resort can have in the Bahamas and you’ll all surely have a fun family holiday in the Caribbean.
