Bora Bora is one of those islands that has thrived ( or succeeded for that matter ) at marketing itself as a luxury destination. For this reason, Bora Bora resorts are usually a lot pricier than many other tropical islands.

Top Bora Bora Resorts For Tropical Holidays In The South Pacific
Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa

Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa is one of the Bora Bora resorts with the most beautiful views.
It is on a protected cove with a private beach and has 120 luxury suites with some of the bungalows having great views of Mt. Otemanu. It has an infinity pool and a spa.
Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort

Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort is located on its own private island and has 80 bungalow suites many of which are over the water. It has cheaper rates than Bora Bora Nui and the same level of luxury and customer service. Various recreational activities are provided for by the resort such as a freshwater swimming pool with a Jacuzzi, game room, mini golf and kayaks.
LE Meridien Bora Bora
Rates: From 600 USD
The LE Meridien is a Bora bora resort with traditional Polynesian style bungalows. It is on its own island which is about 30-35 minutes from the mainland. The resort faces a turtle sanctuary and coral haven so expect swimming and snorkeling to be very entertaining. The resort also offers many onsite recreations such as water skiing, jet skiing, parasailing and more.
Things to Consider When Staying In Bora Bora Resorts
- Bora Bora may be a luxury destination but lower your expectations on customer service. Life by the beach can be very laid-back, so expect this even in the services of luxury Bora Bora resorts. Don’t for one moment think New York service.
- If you want a member of staff to meet you, make sure you give details of your flight arrival and departure. Airport transfers usually require an extra fee.
- Take note of extra expense when staying in a Bora Bora resort that is in its own island. Expect to incur added expense on food, ferry transfers and tours.
- You might have to deal with mosquitoes, bugs and cockroaches. We don’t like them but some might find their way into bungalows. It’s just a tropical reality.
