Luxury Antigua Hotels
Jumby Bay Resort A Rosewood Resort
(St. Johns)
A great place for family getaways; and for honeymooners, don’t worry.
With its sprawled lawn, wild orchids, towering palm trees and its long stretch of beach, it has an air of privacy and you will hardly notice the kids..
If you can afford it, get one of the new Jumby Bay suites . These suites have a private entry courtyard with a fountain and an expansive terrace overlooking the ocean with private plunge pool.
Carlisle Bay
(St. Marys)
A very scenic resort with a tropical rainforest for a backdrop, Carlisle Bay offers all suite rooms and excellent amenities.
The resort, which is an eco friendly hotel, has a spa and a swimming pool. The service is better than Jumby Bay Resort, but don’t expect state of the art pampering –this is the Caribbean ( and I mean that in the nicest way possible! ).
Blue Waters Hotel
(Saint Johns)
Located in a secluded cove, the Blue Waters Hotel, is a boutique style resort with only 77 rooms. Hotel reservations can either be a full breakfast plan or all inclusive ( 3 meals + mini bar drinks ).
Being in a private location, staying here for a long time can lack some excitement as there’s nothing much to do really except sunbathe, eat, swim, and read a book ( you won’t find me complaining ). It’s easy to explore the island though, so if you’re the type who likes to take a break from the “humdrum” of beach relaxation, you can easily take a taxi to explore the town...
Honorable Mention:
The following resorts in Antigua and Barbuda are not five star luxury, but staying in these hotels can also be a delight.
- Long Bay Hotel , St. Johns
- Galley Bay Resort, St. Johns
- The Beach House, Barbuda
